Welcome to Benjamin’s Journey

 We are a family that has dealt with multiple health issues. In 2005, our son Benjamin was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. In 2007, I had a heart attack, received a stent, and was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Then in 2009, my wife Cheryl was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. In this blog I will discuss our experiences and the lessons we gained from having gone through these events and hope to help others who may have recently been or had someone close to them diagnosed with a significant health issue and are looking for some guidance on where to start.
